My mother is very worried about the coronavirus and has not left her home since the pandemic took over the US in March.

• I’m concerned that she’s getting a little too worked up about it, but I’m not going to fight with her.

Her most recent concern is about her air purification. Her indoor air quality, according to her, does not meet the required guidelines and wants to make sure that she has the correct humidity. She has already purchased several portable air purification units and has scheduled for her ductwork to be cleaned and her ducts to be sealed with her HVAC provider. She was talking to me about installing a UV ductwork cleaner. I have never heard of such a thing in all of my life. I could use some advice. I think we should all be cautious about the coronavirus and I’m worried about a second wave but…I’m afraid that my mother has completely lost her marbles about this indoor air purification stuff. Does anyone know of affordable indoor air quality solutions that I can implement in her home to make her feel better without breaking the bank (like some UV light ductwork cleaner)? I would appreciate any input you have! I have already ordered a couple of HEPA air filters for her as well (I forgot to mention that earlier). Like I said, I could really use some help with affordable indoor air purification and maybe something to help nudge her to go outside a little bit. Or, maybe something that can do both?
