Last week when that huge storm system moved through our state, we were right in the middle of the worst part of the storm.

The storm was full of lightning and thunder and some really horrible wind and hail.

All of the high winds and large hailstones ended up ruining our roof. I hated to do it, since we are pretty tight on funds right now, but I had to call someone to do some roof repairs for all of the hail damage that we sustained during the storm. First of all, it was more difficult to find an emergency roof repair service than I thought it would be. The roofing companies near me were all super busy with all of the other hail damage that had been done during the storm. I was starting to give up on getting an appointment for a roof inspection when I found this smaller roofing company in the phone book. All of the people that I called from the list online were too busy to do any roof repairs that week, so I had broken down and pulled out the old phone book. I’m glad I did, too, because this small family owned roofing contractor wasn’t busy at all. He had plenty of time to come over and assess our roof for hail damage and storm damage. We were able to get our roofing materials in within a couple of days and the roofing company fixed our house within the week. I’m really glad, too, because the weather is calling for another big storm next weekend! Hopefully there won’t be any hail damage this time!
