I grew up in a college town that wasn’t known for very much else.

• The school’s mascots, logos, and sports iconography was plastered all over the city from the post office to the public library.

The alumni includes many well known scientists and philanthropists. The science, technology, engineering, and mathematics program is the school’s central focus. We get more students graduating through the STEM program than any other discipline or major you could possibly take. Despite this, there is still a medium sized music program. You can take music composition while hitting the music theory classes hard. Or you can study music production and engineering where you’ll be up close and personal with all sorts of different kinds of audio equipment and gear. The school has so much music and stage equipment that it rents the gear out to local events and musicians during the summer when students are away and the equipment would otherwise stay stored on campus. When you compare what they charge to literally any other stage equipment rental agency, you get an insanely good deal, even if you’re looking for LED lights and a smoke machine. All you have to do is call the front desk on campus at some point during work hours and the person answering the call will help you order whatever audio equipment or gear that you’ll need for your event. I was surprised to learn that many of the local art festivals will rent stages and speakers so that they can have live music while people walk around and browse the various booths. With their competitive prices, I can’t imagine renting audio equipment from any other source.
