The air quality outside was terrible

I have to admit this quarantine is starting to get to me.

I was not a very social person to begin with, so it took a little while for me to start to develop the cabin fever, but it finally came around! Normally I keep to myself, I stay inside, I focus on my work, but the mere fact that I am not supposed to go to the park makes me want to go all the more.

I think if I could just spend a day outside, like normal, it would make me appreciate how great the lockdown really is. I miss the fresh air, no matter how nice the air conditioning is, it is still recycled and it makes me feel dirty by breathing it. Late one night I put on a face mask and broke the quarantine, leaving the safety of the climate control system behind me as I took an illegal walk through the park. As soon as I was sure I was all alone I took off the mask, for some free and clear natural ventilation. Right away I noticed that it was not as refreshing I was expecting, and didn’t feel any cleaner to breathe than the recycled air of my HVAC system. In fact, it was substantially more humid and warmer than the air conditioning I had become so used to as of late. Instead of feeling refreshed by it, I found myself yearning to go back home to the climate control system, where the humidity levels were lower and the temps were always perfect.
