I could only hope our power would come back sooner than later

There is nothing worse than waking up on a freezing afternoon and freezing even though you have numerous blankets on you. That is what happened to myself and others last week. I had set the temperature control to seventy because of how cold it was supposed to be. I heard the weatherman saying that it was supposed to go below zero. I wanted to be prepared for the cold. The gas furnace had been cleaned and tested only a month ago, and the Heating, Ventilation and A/C tech told myself and others that the gas furnace was in fantastic condition. I got out of bed and ran tests on the temperature control, which was dark. I thought I had the Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker put new batteries into the temperature control. Then I realized the lights weren’t on. That’s when I knew I didn’t have any power. I was ready to kick myself when I realized that both of us didn’t have power, which meant no heating plan either. I had talked to our Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker just numerous weeks ago, about a generator. He told myself and others that if I didn’t get a generator; I was going to end up losing our power at a disappointing time. The home was in a secure section of the country and all the people here lost their power at times. He said the previous owner had a generator because he often lost his power for nights. I could only hope our power would come back sooner than later. I was going to call the Heating, Ventilation and A/C company and have that generator installed so I never had to spend another freezing afternoon in our home. I didn’t realize how cold it could get when you didn’t have the gas furnace running.
