It was nothing expensive, but nice

I can’t fool anyone. There are numerous things that I just plain do not like about aging. All the “wisdom” is wonderful, but I’d rather have a pliable body that heals quicker. My aching body is the one thing making me super aware of my age. This is only emphasized by the incredible social revolution that is changing all around us. All I can do is to crank my HVAC system and kick back plus just keep on living life. I definitely didn’t see all of this coming when I was a young adult. The technology wave alone is still crazy on a yearly basis. Unfortunately, with all this comes some balance. A ton of the current technology has taken over what a human once got paid to do. This is a sweeping change that affected me personally. I was let go by a supplier whom I was sure would never get rid of me. However, I was let go after 29 years of service because a piece of technology took my position. I still had to work, so I put myself out there as a business consultant, which allowed me to work from home. I transformed my spare guest room into an office. My partner wasn’t super stoked with my plan, but I had to have an office that was private. I put all my necessary corporation supplies in there, which include a current desk. It was nothing expensive, but nice. I also contacted the HVAC dealership to come out and install a ductless HVAC unit, because I like my office to be a particular temperature. This is why I needed a dedicated heating plus cooling unit, even though my partner didn’t dig that idea too much either.
