HVAC breaks down on Thanksgiving day

On Thanksgiving, all of my family came to my house for a bit of a family reunions.

We don’t do this every year but this year we decided we would.

Thankfully, my place is big enough to house my whole family. Despite this, it was still pretty chaotic to have everybody in my house all at the same time, there were kids running around and parents getting in the way, but the worst thing that happened was that my HVAC system stopped working that Thursday. Of course, this had to happen when everyone was over at my house and not on some random day of the week when it was just me and my husband. I wasn’t sure I would be able to get an HVAC company to come out on a holiday and I had to call a few before I reach anybody. In the intern, my grandma tried to tell me that she could fix the HVAC system herself. She claimed that she used to work for an HVAC company in reception or something like that. I couldn’t picture my 85 year old grandma fixing my HVAC system. Besides that I’d rather leave it up to the professionals; a lot has changed since Grandma worked in the industry. Thankfully, I was able to reach an HVAC company that was open on Thursday and they were able to send somebody out right away. It cost a pretty penny but they had my air conditioner running before the turkey was on the table. We set one more plate for the HVAC technician and had a great holiday.
