Greening up my cooling system
Greening up my cooling system
I have been an advocate for environmental issues for as long as I can remember.
Even when I was a kid, my parents had me collecting garbage on the side of road and recycling cans for our boy scout troop. All of this prepared me for the career I have now. I work as an engineer and design HVAC systems that are made to run on alternative fuel sources. Not all HVAC systems are alike and with a few modifications they can be made to run using solar, wind and hydro power. You are no longer chained to the conventional fuel sources such as gas, electric and oil. All of these fuels can be harmful to the environment and use far more power than some of the modern ones we are developing. Through advances in efficiency and capabilities we can now heat, cool, and ventilate spaces with half the power of older systems. This saves money on energy bills and helps the planet at the same time. My job and the role I play in these savings is important to me. I feel like I am continuing to do my small part in advocating those same environmental issues I did when I was a kid. I do a job that I can be proud of and love sharing the technology with people I know. We have a dealer in town that specializes in the installation of these systems and the power sources, such as solar panels, that are needed to run them. If you are looking to upgrade your own HVAC system be sure to look into these from a local dealer near you too.
