I took on a very special task this past month.

I am a heating and cooling specialist with the local heating and air conditioning company. And let me tell you I do a lot of things most heating and cooling specialists would not do. It’s just the fact that I have a good heart I guess. But I was asked if I would go to the local high school and do a speech on the heating and air conditioning industry. Talk about the different forms of technology in HVAC over the last 10 years and then give a small lesson on some basic heating and air conditioning system repair. This was for a class of kids in home economics who were interested in heating and air conditioning repair and installation. Many of them were going to be heading to a trade school for heating and air conditioning certification once that they graduated from high school. I was very happy to do this. And also, let me add that I was not getting paid for this at all. It was a community service to the high school. My local heating and air conditioning company that I work for really had nothing to do with it. They just passed the message along to all of us heating and air conditioning specialists to see which one of us might be interested. I was the only one out of the 7 heating and air conditioning specialists that work here that replied to the request. Like I said, I have a good heart and love helping any kinds of kids.
