When it gets really cold outside I tend to have my central heating system’s thermostat set pretty high.

• I am pretty sensitive to the cold in general.

So this is why I do this. It’s to protect me from getting sick. Well the other day when the heater came on from the thermostat being set really high I was not expecting what came next. I did not remember I had the thermostat set so high! We had a mega bad cold front the other day so I had it up to 79 degrees! The cold front is gone and it is just the usual cold now. Because of the thermostat set so high I thought I was getting sick! I started to feel a bit dizzy and sick to my stomach as a result. I did not know what was going on. It was then I remembered that I totally forgot to turn down the thermostat back to normal again! When I figured out what exactly was going on I jumped up from the couch and turned that temperature control dial on the thermostat right down. I then actually flipped on the central air conditioning system for about 5 or 10 minutes just to try to cool the house down a little bit! It worked. However I had to remember to flip the central heating back on after words and not leave it set on the central air conditioning system. That could have caused a whole entire new set of problems had I done that!
