Periodically I swear that I have the worst advantage you could imagine; Things go wrong at the worst moments possible and I’m stuck dealing with a lot of nonsense that I wasn’t prepared for! It’s rare that everything goes smoothly all the time, although I seem to be especially afflicted by rashes of poor luck… For instance, for that past year I have had no issues with my central cooling system whatsoever.

It has worked reliably and efficiently every single day, and I’ve been enjoying the perfectly cool and dry air quality of my condo the entire time. I forgot that it was even something I had to worry about, because I hadn’t called the heating and cooling service supplier out in such a long time. Then the long holiday weekend rolls around, it’s harshly hot and humid outside, and I have plans to stay at condo and care about my cool condo all by myself… only for my air conditioning system to completely fail on the first day of the break. I woke up to find that it was almost 90 degrees in my pad, and upon inspecting the thermostat it became evident that my A/C was not operating at all. I tried to call my normal Heating, Ventilation plus A/C service supplier, however they are closed for the entire holiday weekend. I’ve been calling all around city trying to find an open heating and cooling supplier with no luck; everyone is either booked, or out of city for the Fourth of June weekend… What advantage – it looks like I won’t be at condo enjoying my a/c afterall.
