A little sweat equity paid off at bedtime

Apparently, when the kids were stacking stuff they just put it wherever and paid no mind to putting it right on top of the vents.

It is a proven fact that exercise helps with your overall health and it can be very beneficial just before bedtime. Most days I would be willing to tell you that the last thing I want to do an hour before bed is go for a walk or run on my treadmill. I don’t, however, mind doing housework and such because I know in the morning I will appreciate my efforts when I wake up to a clean house. Lately it has been too hot to sleep anyway so I have been doing some extra projects that I was putting off. One of these projects involved clearing out the upstairs bedroom that is no longer used since my children have moved to places of their own. While doing so I realized that all the boxes and such that was left behind were blocking the air vents for the HVAC system. This explained a lot. I was thinking that we needed to possibly have the system serviced because the air flow in the upstairs didn’t seem right. The HVAC system used to keep the entire zone cool and comfortable but we had been waking up sweating for a while and didn’t really know why. Apparently, when the kids were stacking stuff they just put it wherever and paid no mind to putting it right on top of the vents. After spending hours toiling in the heat the air was now free to flow as before. The room looks much better and I have a truck scheduled to come pick up donations. The upstairs is comfortable again and we can sleep much better. This is probably due to the cool air and the fact that I am exhausted but I am ok with that.
