I went online to see how I could repair this and numerous of the sites said that you can flush a simple bleach water mixture down the drain and it will kill any algae that has developed in the line. I followed the simple steps that were recommended and within a couple of afternoons the odor disappeared and the websites also said that this would help prevent detriment to the air conditioner unit from bacteria buildup. If you are not sure how to do this I highly advocate contacting an Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional to have them come take care of this for you. I am pretty handy so it is not that strenuous however if you are not proficient at condo repair you are better to trust a professional.
