Now that my children are older, I’ve been attempting to teach them more in depth house responsibilities. They’re still required to do basic chores like load the dishwasher, take out the trash, in addition to mop the floors. However, I’m also starting to teach them the fundamentals of Heating as well as A/C service in addition to grass care too. When I was their age, I wasn’t prepared to handle these house responsibilities in addition to it took me a long time to understand them. I didn’t want the same for my kids. To improve their Heating as well as A/C service, I’ve asked my kids to start replacing the air filters, clear out the weeds around the condenser unit, in addition to sporadically I have them schedule the Heating as well as A/C tune ups. In doing this, I’m hopeful that they’ll have a better understanding of what keeps the heat in addition to air in our home running. I’ve also attempted to teach them about our control unit in addition to how the temperature of our home affects our monthly energy consumption. My kids have regularly been particular about the temperature of our home, so one month, I let them control the temperature all afternoon in addition to night but there was a catch. They had to spend my money that month’s utility bill. They were shocked to see the price of that bill, but I wasn’t. I showed them previous energy bills in addition to how much lower they were due to my particular control unit settings. This was one of my best lessons, because they quickly learned about energy usage. I never heard them complain about the temperature of our home again in addition to I’m sure they’ll carry this Heating as well as A/C knowledge into their own homes one afternoon.
