A Rusted Drain Leads to Water

A Rusted Drain Leads to Water

Last weekend, when my partner was mowing the sod, he noticed that the condenser unit was leaking water.

When he first told me about his sighting, I thought it was impossible, then our AC system didn’t use water.

Instead, it used refrigerant to cool the air. There was no way that water could be coming from the condenser unit unless it had rained, then my partner was adamant about the leak though, in addition to he confirmed it by showing it to me, and he also explained how even though the AC system used refrigerant, water was still created due to the dehumidifier built into our system. However, that water shouldn’t have been leaking. Since a leaking condenser unit was beyond our scope of Heating as well as A/C knowledge, we decided to hire an Heating as well as A/C contractor to come service it. My wonderful friend and I have a wonderful friend who’s been an Heating as well as A/C contractor for over twenty years, so we knew we’d be in wonderful hands. The Heating as well as A/C contractor came to check out the leak instantly in addition to he provided us a self-explanatory explanation for it. The condenser unit has a small drain that helps move the water to its designated spot, but that drain was rusted on our system. The rust was so severe, there were holes starting to form, which was creating the leaks, however a rusted pipedrain sounded like a giant deal, but our Heating as well as A/C contractor assured us that it was a self-explanatory in addition to inhigh-priced fix. Thankfully, he was right. The drain was fixed before the end of the afternoon.
