I can’t believe that was my first time ever hearing about a smart thermostat

I had been living in an apartment since I was in college. In fact, I was living in the same apartment that I had moved into during my final year. It was in a lovely area, wasn’t too expensive, and had all the amenities I needed. So, I saw no need to move out and start looking for another place when I graduated. Luckily, I got work in my first month so I didn’t dig into my savings to keep paying the rent. Fast forward 10 years later, I was finally able to buy my own house in another excellent area. This was such a huge achievement and my student loans weren’t too bad either. Anyway, my realtor found a diamond in the ruff with this house, but there were changes to make. First, the roof had to go, followed by the heating and AC unit. Though this was an amazing house in an excellent area, the previous owner had done little work to it. So, this meant I had to get rid of the aging heating and AC unit to guarantee comfort in my new home. I did some research online and came across a local HVAC business. They even had excellent offers for individuals getting heating and cooling services for the first time. The HVAC specialist confirmed that I needed a new HVAC system, plus a thermostat upgrade. His suggestion was a smart thermostat, and he had to explain it to me. I can’t believe that was my first time ever hearing about a smart thermostat. Of course, I told him he could go ahead and install it.
