Improved respiratory health thanks to HVAC
I’m very thankful that I actually went to the doctor about this chest cold that wouldn’t go away.
This was a virus that was really going around in our region this Spring. And sure enough, someone came into the commercial HVAC of our office sick. I just hate that. Stay home when you’re sick and especially when you’re contagious. Thanks to whoever that was, half our floor was out of that zone controlled HVAC for several days. Normally, I’m down with a virus for a few days. I stay in bed, hydrate and try to just rest as much as possible. Then, I’m back on my feet while still being careful not to over do it. That’s what I expected to happen after getting this virus in the Spring. Instead, I felt pretty rotten for a couple of weeks. Since I wasn’t running a fever and I wasn’t coughing and sneezing, I went back to the zone controlled HVAC of the office. Yet, I was just dragging myself around and couldn’t seem to get rid of the congestion in my chest and head. That’s when it was time to go to the doctor. This time though, I was given a prescription to heal my indoor air quality so it could heal me. Yea, the doctor thought that mess was hanging around due to bad indoor air quality. So I called to get ductwork cleaning and ductwork resealing. That made a huge difference. I followed up that improvement with an air filter upgrade to a HEPA filter. It didn’t take but a day before my symptoms drastically improved. And I really do love having such great indoor air quality thanks to my HVAC equipment.
