Silas was late for our meeting, but I didn’t mind waiting for him.

We had so many things to discuss, and I was excited to start working for him.

However, I also felt a little nervous because he was a rising star, and he had brilliant company. He called when I was already at the meet up point and said he’d be late. Apparently, there was an emergency at his home, and he had to wait for an expert to come by and fix it. Silas suggested we push the meeting to the next day if I had another place to be. However, my day was clear since this was a meeting I had been looking forward to for some time. He called an hour later to say he was trying to get there soon, and I can have something to eat for him. Well, when Silas got there, he apologized for being hours late, and told me he was having issues with his heat pump. Silas enjoys having a heat pump in his home. However, he was having a hard time changing modes on this unit and needed to hire an HVAC technician. The HVAC company does offer same-day repairs, but you have to wait for the next available technician. It took about three hours for the HVAC technician to arrive, and when he did, he had to do some repairs. It seems the heat pump’s reversing valve was stuck and this caused him not to be able to change the mode. But, the matter was sorted and his heat pump was working well when he left.
