I never thought I’d live in a dump but here I am! Thankfully, I don’t have much and my marriage ending abruptly didn’t help in any way.

It’s been a struggle as my credit card debt didn’t go anywhere and it’s hard to even catch that up.

Right now, living in the studio apartment, with a bed, an old boxed TV, and a window air conditioner is all I have. The best part is the air conditioner and living in a studio apartment with that is actually pretty good. The room is always cool and it does more than enough for the space I have. Yet, I still miss the house I lived in that had a smart thermostat and central air conditioning. It felt great and I had the best sleep in the world. The bed was also much more comfortable. I guess things could be worse, I could be living on the streets and fighting for food and shelter. It’s going to be a few years until I can get my life back together and be able to afford a new place. In the meantime, I’ll work my butt off to get the credit cards paid off and probably find a second job to go with my other one. I don’t have kids or anything so that’s good so I have the free time to fix my life. Still, I had a wife and had the dream but it all ended because I had a gambling problem. I started to seek help for that but it was too late for my marriage.
