Can heated floors stop my dog from scratching the floors?
My pet, Rex has some terrible qualities but the wonderful outways the bad.
I get sad with a few things like Rex throwing his dog bowl if it’s empty plus he wants more food or he barks at people just walking by the house.
Those are just two qualities I absolutely don’t like. The other one I don’t like is that Rex scratches the floor all the time. I yell for him to stop but it’s a yearly recurrence. Nothing I say will stop Rex plus I need a more current plan. I did a little research plus I found out there could be a variety of reasons plus I don’t know if anything I can do will help. I want to install heated floors plus I already talked to a heating service tech who works for the Heating as well as A/C company. I was planning on getting them installed next fall but if he continues to act this way, I’m not going to get them installed. But maybe there is the option that radiant floors will get him to stop. Maybe the warmth from the flooring will encourage Rex not to. Rex is a wonderful dog so I know I’m not going to get radiant floors if this is a problem going forward. I’m not going to let Rex go as well because he is family. Maybe I’ll have them installed in areas that I know Rex doesn’t scratch. The thing is the study room is where I want them installed but that is the section Rex does all his scratching. Heated flooring will be nice but I absolutely do more research plus maybe speak to the vet.
