I knew it was time to replace my furnace when it starts whooing. I’ve had the same type of furnace for years, and it has always worked well for my house. Because I’ve had them for so long, I can usually tell when it needs maintenance, is about to break and other things. I’ve noticed that when they’re older, and needing to be replaced, they start making a whooing like noise. It almost sounds like wind. My wife and I like to joke that our furnace is haunted by a ghost when it makes that noise. Anyway, I scheduled an appointment with our favorite HVAC company. This HVAC business has helped us with all of our problems regarding heating and cooling, so now we go to them whenever we have a heating problem. An HVAC contractor, after looking at our heating system, confirmed that we should update to a newer model. I was a bit skeptical of getting a newer model, after all, our current one we’ve tried and it proved itself to be efficient. I didn’t want to throw my money away on a heating unit that may or may not work. I told the HVAC supplier that I would look up this newer model and decide for myself whether it was worth it. I spent an hour reading the updates of this new furnace, as well as the reviews, and after discussing it with my wife, we decided to take the risk and go ahead and upgrade to the newer model. We called and scheduled another appointment to have one installed. After it was installed, it seemed to be working well, but I wasn’t getting my hopes up. After a few months of superb heating, I finally could breathe a sigh of relief and realize the investment was worth it.
