The central thermostat batteries were put in backwards

That’s when I went to check the thermostat and I saw that the batteries didn’t look quite right

The thermostat batteries were stuck backwards the other morning when I went to check and see what the concern was, but something wasn’t right with the heating and A/C system and I had no idea what was going on. I had observed that the low battery indicator had been flashing on the digital programmable thermostat for a few days so I told my hubby that he needed to repair it. All he had to really do was change the batteries so I got out four batteries from the battery box that my associate and I keep in the home office. I finally left the thermostat batteries out on the home office counter as a reminder for him to change the thermostat batteries. He did it, however somehow he ended up putting them into the thermostat the wrong way. Neither one of us observed that he put them in the wrong way until I observed that the boiler wasn’t heating the home the way that it was supposed to. The weather is still actually really cold outside here and so my associate and I have to keep the furnace running nearly all the time. I had the temperature turned up on the thermostat however the home still wasn’t heating up the way that I wanted it too. That’s when I went to check the thermostat and I saw that the batteries didn’t look quite right. Sure enough, my hubby had not paid enough attention and he had put the batteries in the wrong way. I made fun of him for days after that because he’s always telling me that I don’t know how to repair anything.
