The project was on ways to conserve energy at home. Since it was a school paper, I decided to base it on a subject I was interested in, heating equipment. First, I needed to know the different types of quality heating devices, the new HVAC technology integrated into them over the years, and how they can improve indoor comfort. I started by talking to industry experts, including an HVAC professional who had worked in the heating business for years. Numerous HVAC brands in the market have slowly become household names. I needed to investigate their rise to the top and what they were doing to ensure that old and new heaters helped their customers improve their way of living. I also got to understand how a HEPA filter works. I even asked my parents to opt for it when replacing the electric heater filter. I found out how learning and training institutions kept changing their curriculum to incorporate the changes in the process involved in heater maintenance and installation. The HVAC serviceman talked about how the techniques were different for the different types of systems. I was only through half of my paper and was already very excited about it. All the things I was learning about these electric heating systems and accessories like the wireless thermostat. I also visited the HVAC supplier to understand what customers wanted. By the end of the paper, I had spoken to many heating technicians and knew most of them by name. I have given a lot to my school project, and I hope the lecturers feel the same way. It also allowed me to learn a lot about our electric heat pump.
