I really did not see this result coming when we were struggling just to keep the youngsters from killing each other, but that’s what happens when you have one more kid than you have rooms.

We had planned to have 2 children when we bought this house and renovated it, those renovations included upgrading the dining room and replacing the cooling equipment, and along came a son and then a daughter 2 years later.

All was just as we had planned. That is until I ended up with a surprise pregnancy. My husband and I were both stunned with this turn of events. But once we got over our initial shock, we were super enthusiastic to welcome another baby girl to our home. And for several or several years, the girls shared the large bedroom really well. But once my older daughter got into middle university, things went downhill hastily. Those 2 ladies did nothing but fight and it just got to the point where nobody was happy. Buying a new house was out of the question, given the real estate market; So we chose to add value to our house by adding an addition that would be our master home office suite. I figured that the cooling business would just extend the ductwork to the modern addition. But that is not how it works because the heat pump for the house was sized for that air volume when we put it in. So we have a ductless heat pump inside the modern edition and it’s lovely. I can even change the thermostat setting sitting in bed with the remote, a pretty good outcome indeed.
