Radiant heated flooring is a really great heating source. If you can afford to have it installed, I would greatly recommend it. We live in a really cold area of the country. During the winters around here, the floors get super cold. I was not really thinking about that when we bought our house. It has all hardwood and tile floors and carpet. I never really thought about it before when we purchased the house because we bought it during the summer. However, after the first winter, I realized that I was gonna have a hard time living here because it is just so dang cold. That first year that we lived here in our home, the temperatures outside got to be below zero for weeks at a time. It was brutal. The words part about it for me was the fact that I could never get my feet to warm up. The wood floors and tile floors were just freezing cold and it was miserable for me. That’s when my husband and I looked into something called radiant heating floorings. He had it installed last year last year for me and it has really been a game changer for us. It is a great heating system and it makes the floors nice and warm and toasty all winter long. If you have really cold winters and cold floors, I would highly recommend looking into it.
