After I had worked at the heating and AC maintenance business for 2 years, I finally got the option to toil in the field. I helped one of the guys with an replacement task. I did so well that the boss said he would start training myself and others for other repairs. After 2 years of working as an apprentice, I finally had the expertise and skills to take the board certification test. I passed and became a fully licensed Heating as well as A/C repairman. It took a lot of taxing toil and dedication to reach our goals and fulfill our dreams, however I am thrilled that I did not quit when things got difficult.
