My mother and father are getting older, but they refuse to confess it, but i know so excruciating for them.

It is strenuous to watch them struggle to do the things that they once did, but it is the hard truth! My husband has tried several times to help our dad repairing things around the house, but our dad refuses the help because he wants to prove that he can still do so many things that he used to be able to do.

I have to turn our heads away sometimes when our dad is climbing all over the roof or increasing light fixtures that are high up in his attic. I think that the truth of his aging may have finally hit him this past Monday. It is June, and he wanted to get his cooling system out of the attic! Naturally, he did not ask for any assistance, he had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago, and his knee is still not one hundred percent healed, then apparently when he was walking down the stairs, his knee gave out, and he fell down an entire flight of stairs. On the bright side, he did not break anything, but his knee may need another surgery now. He did not even adore his knee though. He was just super frustrated that his cooling system was broken. I tried to tell him that the people I was with and I could get him a different cooling system, even though he was so frustrated that he got in the car and drove to the store to buy another cooling system instantly. He was not able to walk, even though he decided that he needed an up-to-date cooling system right away. I hope that this incident teaches him to ask for help more often.
