Indoor air quality improves with ductwork cleaning
I really don’t like going to the doctor.
And I don’t even pretend to be tough and all that.
Even the older I get, the more I sort of feel like I’m going to finally get some of that bad news I’ve been fearing all these years. So when I found out that I just couldn’t shake a respiratory illness, I finally just had to go to the doctor. But I was really surprised that my HVAC equipment would play such a significant role in healing my symptoms. I was sort of ready to hear that I had some sort of problem and would need medication. The fact that I was always coughing a bit and then had sinus issues gave me some worry. However, I was not prepared to hear the diagnosis the doctor gave me. She was very thorough and asked all kinds of questions. But then she asked me about the indoor air quality in my house. The doctor wanted to know what sort of HVAC air filter I was using and when the last time I had had the ductwork cleaning done. That really surprised me as the questions seemed to center around my HVAC. Turns out, my respiratory problems were due to the poor indoor air quality in my home. I work from home inside the central air conditioning of my house and breathe that air every day, all day. So having the ductwork cleaning and the ductwork resealing done has made a huge difference in my respiratory health. And I changed to a HEPA filter once the HVAC professionals were done with the ductwork cleaning.
