And these winters last for months and months. A homeowner simply can’t take winter preparations lightly and managed this sort of winter. The main factor is of course the HVAC heating method. I have always used the HVAC gas furnace to keep our household warm. I grew up in the house where my father had installed this giant boiler in the basement. That boiler was assembled in the basement and it was huge. When my folks died, I had to sell that house and it took an entire HVAC crew to dismantle that boiler. That boiler was built for many decades of use. But by the time my parents were gone, a boiler was not economically sustainable when it came to heating a house. The furnace in my new home is actually quite new. The one that it replaced ran for nearly 25 years. However given our situation, I wanted something that was more efficient and reliable. It was the most wise thing to replace the HVAC gas furnace. Our new gas furnace is incredible. It cut off almost 25 percent from our utility costs prior. And I’m making sure it gets all the seasonal service the old one got. Obviously they’re so much value when it comes to HVAC maintenance as we went a quarter of a century without one single break down. Of course the new one was signed up for the HVAC service plan as soon as it was installed.
