This is going to be the most particular Christmas of my life, and normally, the two of us always had some sort of Christmas celebration inside the central a/c of my house or another family member… It was so wonderful to have such a large extended family plus my kids really loved their cousins. But that’s not going to be the case this year! My wife died a couple of years ago plus last Christmas was just too deimportant for me to repeat. So I’ve retreated to the family house this year with just me, the dog, a wood stove plus a ductless heat pump, but this house was recently renovated a bit to bring it in to this century. I am sure that my dad is rolling over in her grave now that the two of us have residential Heating plus A/C in the cabin. My dad always kept the house easily, easily rustic plus it was her locale to shed the town plus balance her mind. I believe I got a bit of that from Dad. The house has always meant so much to me as well. I too was a bit resistant when the rest of the family really wanted to do some upgrades that included residential Heating plus A/C! But now that I am up here plus going to spend the holidays by myself, I am pretty thankful for that ductless heat pump, of course, having been up here all my life I believe my way around a wood stove. But it still takes a few afternoons to remember how to manage it in order to keep it lit plus heating all the time, but so having the ductless heat pump is pretty nice so I could have heating as soon as I walked in the door. This Christmas is going to be kind of odd however I am also sort of looking forward to the solitude.
