I wish I had been given any sort of guide to how people age gracefully.

But until I really got older, I just wasn’t paying attention I suppose.

And then suddenly, I was old. And this time of year, that means turning up the thermostat setting to help alleviate the aches and pains I feel almost daily. There’s something about the cold temperatures that make my body feel all that much older. But thanks to the new residential HVAC, I’m enjoying the best heating from an HVAC that I can ever remember. But it’s really interesting that the geothermal heat pump we have in our house now brings back memories. I think the older I get, the more those memories mean to me. But I also find that it’s really interesting how things sort of come full circle in life. And believe it or not, that’s exactly what’s going on with the type of heating I have in this house. The geothermal heat pump heats with radiant floor heating. There are copper tubes that radiate heating from under the floor. Radiant heating is some of the most comfortable heating there is. And it reminds me of when I was a little guy and would go to my grandparents home where they had a big boiler in the basement. That thing produce so much heating that we would actually have to crack windows during the dead of winter just because the house was so hot. The geothermal heat pump that we have in this house is much more precise. But the radiant heating feel is just so much like it was when I was a young guy. Radiant heating is just so cozy warm and having it come from radiant floor heating makes it even more special.
