When I went to the movies the other evening to see the current spine-chilling movie that just came out, there was an absolutely uncommon ticking sound coming from the oil furnace.

• At first, I thought that the sound would absolutely stop after the heating unit warmed up a little bit, however it just kept on going.

I had never been anywhere with that kind of frustrating sound coming from the heater before, and I thought that there must have been something wrong with the heating unit. However, the theater was super hot inside, and by the time the previews were over the ticking sound was driving myself and others insane and we couldn’t stand it anymore. I finally jumped up and went out to the main lobby to complain to one of the supervisors about it. She said that they had been having some issues with the commercial heating and A/C unit in the building and that they were waiting for a commercial heating and A/C corporation to come and work on the heating device for that unique theater. I thought that it was just our luck that I would end up buying tickets for a movie in a theater that had a ticking heating unit inside of it. I ended up telling the supervisor that there was no way that I could stay in that room because I just can’t stand repetitive sounds. I told him it was making myself and others crazy, and she told us that she could not turn it off because the theater would get too cold in no time. She finally just gave everyone in the room a refund.
