My sister has been really into cooking classes lately and it’s really taking a toll on me.

She is always cooking something or other in her house and the grease and smoke that gets into her house is overwhelming sometimes.

I am over there just about all the time because I have to go over to help her out with her kids and with the grocery shopping and things like that. We share custody of our mom, so to speak, and so I always go over there to help out whenever I can. But I told my sister the other day that I am going to have to stop coming over to her place if she doesn’t quit filling the house full of grease and smoke all the time. The indoor air quality in her house is absolutely terrible and I feel like I can’t breathe whenever I am over there. The place is just so smoky and yucky inside that I can barely stand it. I told her that she needs to open the windows when she cooks or at least turn on the ventilation system, but she seems to think that I am overreacting. I can assure you that I am definitely not overreacting, though. It really smells terrible in her house. I think that the grease and smoke are so embedded in her ventilation ducts that every time the heating or the cooling system turns on, the whole house smells like burning grease all over again! I’m not sure what she should do about it, but I think that she might need to install a whole home air purification system or something like that to help with the odors.
