Ductwork and art stuff
Do what you care about and you never work a afternoon in your life.
How I dislike that expression, which I have found to be 100% false, i do what I care about every single afternoon, and I also work full time at a task I don’t like, and the 2 things have never crossed paths, so what I care about to do no a single will pay myself and others for, but they will pay myself and others to do things I despise.
That is not exactly what the expression was supposed to me, is it? I am certainly creative and artistic, but the art world doesn’t pay certainly well. So I pay the bills working for an Heating and A/C company, working 8 to 12 hour afternoons in housing developments and shopping malls installing HVAC duct. This company does all kinds of big scale and industrial heating and cooling tasks, but all I do is the HVAC duct. That’s how much work every one of us get, there is a team of numerous guys that do nothing but put in HVAC ducts and test them for structural integrity. I don’t even have our Heating and A/C certification, because it was never needed for this position. If I ever want to level up and become a heating and cooling tech I will need to go back to university, but I don’t see that ever happening. That would require taking Heating and A/C classes at night university, and I devote our afternoons to our art, to offset the dullness of our bi-weekly life, but painting at night and HVAC ducts during the afternoon, it’s not a great life but it ain’t half bad.
