There was an incredibly tragic accident in our community last year. An elderly couple named Sue plus Bob lived on the corner of our street for nearly 50 years plus were friends with everyone around. If they had, they would have survived the gas leak assuming the alarms were loud enough to wake them out of their sleep. I put at least some of the blame on their heating plus cooling contractors. I can’t imagine installing a gas heating system for an elderly couple plus not including a single or many carbon monoxide detectors for free for their health plus safety. And even if I was the cheapest person on Earth, at least I would tell them to go out plus buy them for themselves from a nearby hardware store. They’re almost the same price as a smoke detector, plus you can even buy devices that do both so you don’t need separate detectors for fire plus gas leaks.
