What is wrong with having a job that forces you to work hard? Is there something wrong with spending your life working on HVAC units? Whatever happened to the value of hard work? Most HVAC companies that I see today have very few HVAC technicians.

I am very concerned about the future of our society. I am mostly concerned about the lack of HVAC technicians that we have in our world today. Besides HVAC technicians, there are a lot of trades that have fewer workers than they used to have. When I was a kid, being an HVAC technician would have been considered a good trade. HVAC technicians make a lot of money, and they don’t have to pay for college to become an HVAC technician. HVAC technicians can also find a job anywhere they go, and their work on furnaces and air conditioners will never grow obsolete. However, at some point as an adult, I noticed that kids were being encouraged to avoid being HVAC technicians and encouraged to go to college. They warned their kids that if they didn’t study and get good grades, they would have to be an HVAC technician and work a very difficult job. What is wrong with having a job that forces you to work hard? Is there something wrong with spending your life working on HVAC units? Whatever happened to the value of hard work? Most HVAC companies that I see today have very few HVAC technicians. Most of these HVAC technicians are close to retirement age, but there are very few younger guys working for the HVAC companies. With fewer HVAC technicians, the prices of labor become much higher. Eventually, it will be impossible to find an HVAC technician to work on your furnace and air conditioner. We need to begin encouraging our children to become HVAC technicians!
