My wife and I decided to go to a Winter retreat for our anniversary this winter.

There are a couple of Winter retreats in the area that have very nice cabins and rooms with fireplaces.

I wanted to make sure that the two of us would get a room with a fireplace, because my wife enjoys that additional extra touch. The website online did not show any availability for a king room with a fireplace, so I contacted the main registration line. I made reservations to have a single room for numerous nights and the room would have a king bed, jacuzzi tub, and a fireplace with separate residing space. The rate for the room each night was $278. That is a lot of money to me, even though I was making special plans for our anniversary, so I didn’t mind spending the extra money! My wife and I took the kids to my parents apartment for the weekend and then I drove out to the country where our Winter retreat was located. It started to get freezing very hastily as soon as the morninglight went down and I was ecstatic that the two of us did not have to drive 6 or 8 hours to get to our endpoint. We worked on into the room around 8:00 in the night! By that time, a lot of people had already worked on into their rooms. My wife and I were told that our room was not available. The staff members did not have a room with a fireplace and a king bed. Even after they looked at our reservations, all they could say was I am sorry.
