It’s finally over.

• Bill and I are deep into the heart of October plus the weather is now just about perfect.

In our region, both of us had several weeks in a row that were spectacular. And that starts in October. But this summer, I was far less concerned about the cost of Heating plus A/C Cooling. That’s because I started the screen with an a/c inspection and tune up as I typically do every year. That ensures the Heating plus A/C unit is running at the highest efficiency plus is set for the heavy load of Heating plus A/C cooling our summer time requires. However this summer the Heating plus A/C cooling workload was reduced noticeably. This is due to just a common-sense approach to cooling my apartment that I hadn’t taken before. And it was particularly pretty easy to do. I started earlier this Spring by just leaving the a/c off, normally, as soon as it gets around 70, I reach for my thermostat. But not this year, I waited plus used the Heating plus A/C cooling sparingly until late June. On top of that, I made sure that the thermostat was never set to more than ten degrees cooler then the peak heating temperature outside. This allowed myself and others to feel much more comfortable with a thermostat setting in the lower 70s when it was nearly a hundred outside. Not only was I much more comfortable inside because our body had adjusted to the heat plus humidity, I wasn’t as overwhelmed when I was outside. It was a big win in every way this summer. I was comfortable indoors plus out while saving a ton of money my on Heating plus A/C cooling.
