Last year before the start of the Summer season, the A/C in our truck stopped laboring. I tried to refill the system with freon, but it did not help at all. I made an appointment with an automotive dealership that does free A/C checkups. They told me that I needed a new A/C compressor and they quoted me $900 for the work. I did not have $900 and it was getting cooler outside so I planned to wait and do the work later when I had more money. Of course, I never thought about that A/C system 1 time during the winter. When the sun started to come out after the freezing temperatures were gone, I instantly thought about the A/C system. I contacted the dealership to see if the price was still the same and they said they would honor the quote up to 1 year. That gave me four more weeks to figure out a way to get the A/C repaired. I had to figure something out, because I wasn’t going to spend the entire Summer season without having cool A/C in our truck. I had to get a loan from our mom and dad to pay for the A/C repairs. They weren’t entirely glad with the fact that I waited all Wintertide before I started to worry about the repairs. I had to listen to them give me a lecture about being more responsible with our money, but at least they paid for the repair so I could get them done sooner than later.
