My animal always acts ridiculous, especially when she wants to get attention.

Sporadically she will get on the back of the couch & meow for an hour if she does not get the attention that she wants.

She reminds myself and others of a pet in that way. I got a cat, because I thought it would be an creature that would not be emotionally needy. This animal cares about attention & she will do anything necessary to get myself and others to look at her. I was playing some video games with friends a few afternoons ago & the animal kept pulling at the air vent by the front door. She was purring & meowing & then she started making different sounds. I thought she was trying to get our attention because I was playing video games with our friends. I told her to go into the home office although she kept calling at the air vent. I got up & walked over to the air vent. I used our cell iPhone flashlight to look inside. I did not see anything inside of the air vent so I told the animal to go into the home office. A few hours later the animal returned to the air vent & started calling & pawing again. I finally got a screwdriver from the dining room & unconnectd the air vent cover so I could show the animal that there was not anything inside of the air vent. After I unconnectd the cover for the air vent, our animal calmed down. It was one of the weirdest things that I have ever seen our animal do.
