I was quite impressed with our son when he started going to work on HVAC systems with my brother. My brother called our son his young apprentice, and our son seemed to beam with pride whenever my brother would talk about all the work he did on heating and cooling systems. Our son kept saying that he never wanted to stop learning about heating and cooling equipment, and he explained there are so many different types. He told us about geothermal HVAC systems which he explained that he would install for us one day if we wanted. I thought that all sounded a little too ambitious, but he said it was only a matter of digging deep enough into the earth to set up the piping to connect to the geothermal heat pump. He made everything sound like it would be a piece of cake. He even spoke of radiant heated floors and other interesting heating systems like dual-fuel systems which are highly energy efficient and save homeowners a huge amount of money on energy bills. There was a time when our son convinced us to get a smart thermostat and he installed it for us. That was a great energy saving tip that he provided us. He eventually got into the HVAC industry and he has been shining ever since. All the work he does is quite impressive and he even has been talking about starting up his own business, but he mostly just wants to help people in need with more reasonable prices. I know that whatever he does, he’ll be successful and put smiles on people’s faces.
