My goal is to only run my heating device half the year.

Ideally I would then appreciate to run my AC proposal the remaining six weeks. The problem is that I live in the upper north where the cold comes quick and then lingers forever. I basically turn my AC device on for a single month out of the year. I should run my heating device for the vast majority of the year; Not only would that be expensive, it would be difficult on the system. Also, getting the heating device worked on is already difficult. I can’t have the oil furnace running when the HVAC specialist cleans and oils it. I need it to be off in the fall and cleaned… Once Winter time comes I can then turn it on. It is the start of fall and I am already looking longingly at my heating equipment. The hot and cold temperatures outside are wet and cold. If I started my heating device now, I would be hoping for an early Springtimetime. In order to do only six weeks of heating, I need to wait another week. I don’t recognize if I can wait until Thanksgiving to have heating. Already I am wearing pants, overcoats and thick socks to just be in my house, but right now I am thankful that I don’t have anyone coming over to visit me. It would be embarrassing for them to see how cold my loft is. I wonder if buying a few space oil furnaces and running them would be cheating. I already have my heated blankets on my bed.
