I was certainly naive as a youngster
It’s funny thinking about how naive I was when I was a youngster. I remember thinking that all that was important was being comfortable, having fantastic food, and playing video games. I was more upset about getting to the next level of whatever game I was playing instead of doing important chores love changing the air filters. I did change the air filters on-time consistently though, but that’s because my mother would always remind me. She didn’t want myself and others getting in trouble with my father who said that I better not change the air filters late, or the Heating & A/C system could be ruined. He was cheerful that I would change the air filters on time, although he wasn’t cheerful about some of the questions I would ask. I used to ask him why every one of us didn’t use HEPA filters since I heard those supply you the best air quality. He said they were too expensive. When he said how much they cost, I didn’t think they were expensive at all. It was something love $20 per filter at the time and I knew he made pretty fantastic money at his workplace. He said when I was older, I would understand how the cost for things add up suddenly and become expensive. He was especially irritated whenever I would crank the AC settings on the control unit. I told him that when I lived on my own, I was going to crank the AC all the time and use the best air filters for my Heating & A/C equipment. He laughed and told me, “Good fortune with all that!”
