We have a big five bedroom five bathroom house here in the states and in the summer the power bills can get out of hand.

That is why we invested in zoned heating and cooling to help cut down on the power bills.

It really makes a difference in the summers because in the winter we use the fireplace a lot to keep us warm, but in the summer all we have to keep us cool is the central HVAC unit. We spend a lot of the time at home either in the living room, or in the office or bedroom, so the rest of the house is cooled unnecessarily and costing a lot of extra money. But with the zoned cooling we can now cool down just the rooms we are using and save a lot of money on energy. We have the latest HVAC equipment in our house and it doesn’t use that much power when it kicks on like the old one did. I think it only runs for about 15 minutes at a time to cool down the rooms we are using. I’ve noticed a big cut in the power bills recently since getting the zoned cooling and am very happy for it. I don’t like wasting a bunch of electricity and adding more to the greenhouse emissions, so the zoned HVAC was a no-brainer when it came time to get a new HVAC system. It costs a little more but saves a lot more in energy so it pays for itself in no time. I’m just trying to do my part for the earth.
