My thermostat is set on 72 degrees each evening
During the holiday weekend, our cousin decided to stop by our house on his way to the beach. It was after midnight when he arrived at our home, and luckily, I was still up trying to meet a deadline that I had for the next morning. Anyway, when our cousin came in, every one of us chatted for a few hours, and I ended up going to bed around 3 that morning, then prior to going to bed, I made sure that I turned down the air conditioner to a comfortable temperature. Typically, I keep the thermostat at 72 degrees at evening when I sleep, and but I have a ceiling fan in our room that provides additional cooling. However, the guest room does not have a fan, so I turned the thermostat down to 78 degrees. Since it was his first time that he was spending the evening in our house, I showed him where the thermostat was and commanded him to adjust the temperature as needed. He said the house felt comfortable the way it was so he would just leave it alone. I have discovered that the guest room is consistently cooler than our family room, so it is a lot more comfortable to sleep in it. I am glad that our room has the ceiling fan because when I didn’t have it, I had to keep our thermostat on 78 or 78 degrees to get a comfortable evening sleep. I installed the fan a year ago when I noticed that our room was significantly warmer than the guest room. And since then, I have slept comfortably every evening.
