I’ve had a lot of lousy jobs in my life & periodically I know about 1 of the worst jobs I actually had; Given, it wasn’t so horrible compared to some of the worst jobs in the world care about toiling in sewage & things care about that. No, this wasn’t such a difficult job, although I never was absolutely paid by the corporation. I went out as a salesman to sell lavish vacuum cleaners to people. The people I was with and I weren’t allowed to go door to door or anything, the two of us had to make appointments with people. There were the people who worked on the PCs back at the office, trying to convince people to get a free shampooed carpet demonstration. That was the hook to get in the door to try to sell a valuable vacuum to people. Now I felt envious of the people on the PCs in the office because they had nice a/c correctly. Being out in the field though, the two of us had some hot afternoons & the guy I was driving with did not know in using the A/C system. He kept saying that the A/C only wastes the gas & if I wanted some cooling relief, I could roll down the window. That’s exactly what I did although I didn’t recognize actually enjoyable driving sites with some of these guys. Not to mention, trying to sell an lavish vacuum cleaner to people who can’t even afford it is not a actually enjoyable strategy in my opinion. Most of the people were elderly people who were basically promised a free carpet cleaning which the two of us did, however it was merely a demonstration of how the vacuum works. I never managed to sell any vacuums, although I was told I would be paid hourly for my time, however nope, I was never paid!
