I realized it had been a lot of time since I last serviced my HVAC system
Painting the exterior of a house takes lots of time and patience.
For one, inflation rates made affording all of the necessary paint a lot more difficult than usual.
Thankfully I still had brushes and other paint supplies left over from when I painted the walls and ceilings in my basement several years ago. I got it out of my storage closet down there and got to work two weekends ago, but it feels like I’m not any closer to being done than I was when I started. Then I realized that last week that I didn’t have enough money to cover the cost of the paint to finish the backside of the house, so now that’s postponed to a later date. I’ll be able to finish painting my house as soon as I can afford the remaining paint to cover the rest of the exterior walls and trim. During a weekend of rest from constant painting, I realized it had been a considerable amount of time since I had last serviced my heating and cooling system. When I was making more money and inflation had yet to hit, I stayed on top of all of my necessary maintenance with my heating and cooling system. I paid for annual service and maintenance contracts so I could have them inspected and fixed by professional HVAC techs at different times of the year. Since I didn’t even have money for another gallon of paint, there was no way I could afford another heating and cooling service contract either. Hopefully I can pay for my necessary HVAC service once I get my next paycheck.
