The HVAC system at my kids’ school is just terrible, but I have heard rumors that they are going to be replacing it over the summer.

I guess a whole lot of parents have complained about the fact that the heating and cooling systems in the schools are very outdated.

I think everything that happened with the pandemic over the past couple years has really made parents start to rethink the ventilation systems inside of the schools around here. If there is one place that should have a great heating and cooling system, then it’s a school. We definitely do not want to have our kids and teachers catching every virus and bug that comes along. If the schools’ have a great heating and cooling system along with a good ventilation system, then that is going to help curtail the spread of sickness in the population. I’m glad that the Board of Education voted to replace all of the HVAC systems in the schools over the summer when classes I have stopped for the year. The other thing that I found out from a friend of mine who is on the school board is that they are going to be installing air purification systems in each school. That was both shocking and exciting to hear. I think that an air purification system in a school is a great idea! If they decide to use a UV light air purification system, then that makes it even better! I’m just glad that they have decided to do something about the terrible indoor air quality. In my opinion, it’s about time.
