I was wondering why my bedroom at my cousin’s house doesn’t get good airflow and I think I know why.

I counted the vents in the ceiling and they have twelve of them in this small house and I don’t think the air handler is able to push enough air through all of them.

She wanted the ductwork run out to the garage too because she spends a lot of time there doing laundry but I think this causes a problem with the rest of the house. I am going to talk with her when she gets back from work and see about fixing this problem. Maybe we will just have to shut some of the vents when people are not in the rooms because I am hardly getting any cool air in my bedroom at night. I don’t think we need an air conditioning vent in the dining room and back porch so if we close those we should have enough air coming through the rest of the vents. I don’t know who installed this system but I don’t think they knew what they were doing. We have a lot of HVAC companies in our town which aren’t fully legal and insured and some of them don’t really know how to install HVAC units correctly. It is a good idea to do your research and check the reviews on a company before hiring them. It is easy to do with the internet and only takes a few minutes. I think most HVAC companies are legit but there are always a few rotten apples in the basket, always check for bruises.
