Living in the north all our life didn’t leave myself and others with much experience with how to properly air condition a house.

That was no concern as the two of us had appealing radiant heat. So when the two of us moved to the south, the two of us got a crash course in Heating plus A/C cooling. The beach house the two of us obtained was the first time the two of us lived in a beach house and the first one the two of us owned. On top of that, the two of us lived out in a rural setting with no neighbors close by. So the two of us left the window shades and drapes open all the time. Well, I found out quick that this is a recipe for an Heating plus A/C cooling bill that will legitimately blow your mind. I thought the air conditioner was a bit extravagant in the Springtime really. But after that first month of summer, I legitimately got a taste. Every one of us abruptly figured out that the two of us had to close a lot of shades in the beach house to stop the direct sunshine heating from raising the temperature of the ambient air. Once the two of us did that and got a bit more control of some temperature control setting parameters, the two of us got our Heating plus A/C cooling bill to a legitimately sustainable level.
